Chameleon Flame Effect

With over two years in development, Chameleon is a cutting-edge compact flame effect that is simplicity itself to use - being completely self contained.

Utilising twin, 600ml, fuel cells that are simply screwed into the rear of the unit, the Chameleon can shoot a column of flame to a maximum height of 3m - although this height is variable from the needle valve also on the rear of the unit. The addition of a second fuel cell means twice the number of shots or twice as long running time than any other single can unit on the market today.

The specially developed fuel cells come in a variety of colours including; Red, Green, Blue and Yellow so a choice of flame colour is also achievable. In addition, by mixing the fuel cells, i.e. inserting both a red and a blue fuel cell then a violet flame is created, and so on!

The Chameleon has a sophisticated touch screen control panel which utilises 3 channels of DMX. Channel one turns on the Hot Surface Igniter (HSi) and starts a pre-set timer which will then energise the main effect control once the HSi is up to temperature. The second channel fires the effect and the third channel turns on a flashing LED on the top of the unit to show acts on stage that the system is live or about to fire.

Safety systems include a HSi monitor that will disable the fire circuit should the HSi fail to light or have been damaged. A tilt sensor within the Chameleons electronics senses if the unit has fallen over and locks-out the firing mechanism should this occur.
